  • Congratulations to the team members of Don “trigger” Tregenza,Young Gun James “Everywhere” Jeffries, Sunday Specialist Matt “B Ball” Durdin, Rocking Rob “the Hammer” Haake, Tall Paul “Big Block” Lonsdale, Jumping Johnny “My Ball” Williams, Awesome Adrian “Hit man” Haake and “Captain Courageous” Charlie “Libero” Grigio (now there's a rhyme).

This was the first team to win from 5th spot after the Round Robin.

  • 2010 - State Championships
  • This year saw only men represented at the recently held Stae Championships with the Tregenza's providing a treat; "bomber" Lee taking out the MVP for the A Grade (how many is that?) and the veteran (and past President) "trigger" Don taking out the MVP for the fist time ever in the mens B Grade- well done to both.

  • 2010 - Mandurah Season Starts on a High
  • This year we decided to separate the seasons into a Mens, Womens and Junior competition for the first and review with a return to the social and mixed A grade competition of the past for the second season. We have 4 junior, 4 womens and 5 mens teams competing, a first for Mandurah volleyball.

  • 2009 - Mandurah Season Ends on a High
  • Mandurah Volleyball end of season function was help at the Hyundai Stadium fuction centre with great success. Catering for about 70 people, the function also included music, raffles and food and drinks.

  • 2008 - Mandurah Volleyball Carnival
This year saw a total of 27 teams but unfortunately there were insufficient nominations to include a mens (B grade) this year.
Our womens team finished second in their pool and were victorious in their semi-final to be played against the top team, Busso Girls.
After 2 very tight sets, our girls held on to win in a strong fashion with a steely reserve normally found at Olympic level.
To top of a great weekend for the girls, Kerry Hansen was voted as the most valuable player in the womens (B grade).
For other results, check out this page.

  • State Championships 2007
Mandurah is the 2007 champion Country association for 2007.

Once again the mens (A Grade) proved too strong for the opposition winning in 4 sets against Busselton.
Lee Tregenza completing a clean sweep with the MVP award.
The mens B grade (see pictures page) also provided Mandurah with joy as the more experienced team lost in their grand final against Collie but, a deserving Darren Nilsson took out the MVP. The younger B graders lost their quarter finals but still played well.
The womens (B Grade) team represented Mandurah well, making it to the semi finals but did not advance. Kerry Hansen was voted as the MVP for the girls to cap off a great day for Mandurah volleyball.

  • State Championships 2006
This past June long weekend saw a mens (A Grade) and womens (B Grade) team represent Mandurah at the state volleyball championships - the womens completed a galant tournament but unfortunately were severly undermanned (or is that womened?) and failed to qualify for the finals. The mens team completed the round robin series on top and defeated Bunbury in the final to be crowned the country A division champions. Lee Tregenza was voted as MVP (umpteen +1) for the overall mens A division and along with Symon Brown, they capped off a great weekend for Mandurah by being selected in the all star 6 country team that fought out a exciting state champions final against the state under 19 junior mens team.

Mandurah Womens team won their second tournament of the year at Subiaco this weekend. The girls were placed second after the round robin with good wins over Goldfields, Albany and Busselton, a draw with Bunbury and a loss to Balcatta. They then stepped up a gear beating Bunbury in the Semi Final and then thrilling the crowd with a 3-1 win in the final against Balcatta. The finals were highlighted by the fantastic chasing and passing of April Hermans and Peta Francis, the great hitting and setting of Sara Belmont and Toni Smith as well as the magnificent stuff blocks and power hitting of Melanie Tregenza. The Mens team was not so fortunate in a tough competition but Simon Trebillco was voted the best Country player of the tournament which was well deserved.

Sorry we haven't updated the website in a while. We're looking for a likely victim on the committee to take on the task. Charlie looks unsuspecting since he's been away over east for a couple of years so we'll try and flog it onto him. Then hopefully we'd get info on the website in a timely manner. :)
